Patrick is a proud owner of a barbing salon business in the heart of Lagos mainland. A co-tenant with which he shares a meter, where he lives, reported him to the police following a misunderstanding over the payment of electricity bills. Not long after, Patrick was arrested and whisked to Ikoyi Prison upon being ordered to be so remanded by the court.
Not sure why he was remanded and what to do about getting out of prison, Patrick remained incarcerated for over a month until the Flemer Project Initiative took up his matter following its first visit to Ikoyi Prison. We represented Patrick in court, at no cost to him, and the charge against him was struck out.
Patrick has since gone back to his barbing business and he is happy to be a free man again.
